Northern Wisconsin
Cherry
Sophisticated
and elegant, Cherry is considered the premier of North American
hardwoods. The quality in terms of color and grain of Cherry
in Wisconsin is a well kept secret within the lumber industry
and is by far the most sought after region for Cherry in North
America. The varying grades allow one to be rather grand or
casual in the floors appearance. Extremely light sensitive,
cherry darkens dramatically over time and character marks
become distinguishing features. Color can range significantly
between boards, with shades ranging from light to dark reddish-brown
to light pink. Cherry is 25 percent softer than Red Oak.

Select
and Better
This
grade of Cherry has a little natural color variation found
in the heartwood and a very small amount of contrasting sapwood.
There maybe the occasional small pin knot and tiny black streak.
This floor is super "fancy" and will mellow with
age.
