Red Birch
Selected
from the heartwood of Yellow Birch, Red Birch is the rarest
of the "domestic exotics" and arguably the most
sought after flooring in North America. Its reddish-brown
distinguishing glow combined with its closed grain and flare
offers an amazing and spectacular floor. Red Birch has the
about same durability and hardness as Oak.

This
grade of Red Birch contains a minimum of 95 percent of the
beautiful brownish-red blush that makes this floor so amazing.
It is possible there may be the occasional small pin knots
and occasional dark streaks. This is truly a distinguishing
floor and perhaps the rarest flooring material in North America.

Common
This
grade of Red Birch contains 50 percent or more of the deep
brownish-red blush that makes this floor so unique. It has
varying wood characteristics, numerous streaks, discolored
sapwood, sound knots and some checks. It is a casual and exciting
floor with super popularity in high-end second homes.
